In addition to working on SQL projects, I have been learning to work with visualizing data in Tableau on my Tableau Public profile. I am early in this journey but excited about getting the practice in!
The picture on the front page of my site is from the first dashboard I created using Tableau. Similarly to the SQL project I posted about recently, I used a dataset found on Kaggle to analyze car sales in the US in 2014. I wanted to get a bit of practice visualizing key information that might be sought from the data so it could be easily digestible for non-technical users.

Using the cursor to hover over the bubbles showing the different car manufacturers by popularity shows some additional data about that bubble. In the case of the one shown, it shows that Chevrolet was the second-most popular manufacturer in the year the data represented, and the exact number of Chevrolet car sales in that period.
The top-right module shows how average car selling price varied as mileage increased (as measured by the odometer in a car). Finally, the bottom-right module shows the car type by popularity. Without looking at the data I was sure the SUV would be the most popular; I evidently was wrong! Sedans far outsold SUVs in 2014-15.
You can explore this data a bit more on my portfolio here. More to come…
